Ashford returns to Broadway in March 2023, with the role of Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the production. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the impeachment crisis that swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key actors into the very first impeachment proceedings in America for more than 100 years. In two seasons, Ashford played a prominent role in CBS's hit comedy B Positive. The show was created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary actor Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her portrayal of Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford has been born in Denver is now based living in Los Angeles and New York.
